Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Ardor House's services and constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Client” or “you”) and Ardor House (“Company,” “we,” or “us”). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Services Provided

Ardor House provides the following services:

  • Home staging for sale or rental properties
  • Interior design consultation and implementation
  • Vacation rental staging and design
  • Furniture and decor rental services
  • Space planning and design consultation

Client Responsibilities

Property Access

  • Provide safe and timely access to the property
  • Ensure utilities (electricity, water, heat) are functioning
  • Remove personal belongings as agreed upon
  • Provide accurate property information and any special requirements

Property Condition

  • Ensure property is clean and ready for staging
  • Complete any necessary repairs before staging date
  • Provide adequate lighting and climate control
  • Ensure property is secure and safe for our team

Communication

  • Respond promptly to requests for information or decisions
  • Notify us immediately of any changes to timeline or requirements
  • Provide accurate contact information and preferred communication methods

Payment Terms

Staging Services

  • 50% deposit required upon contract signing
  • Remaining balance due upon installation completion
  • Additional services or changes subject to separate billing

Design Services

  • Design fee due upon contract execution
  • Product purchases require separate payment or approved credit
  • Installation and delivery fees due upon completion

Furniture Rental

  • First month's rent and security deposit due before delivery
  • Monthly payments due on the same date each month
  • Late fees apply to payments more than 10 days overdue

Cancellation Policy

  • More than 48 hours before scheduled service: Full refund minus 10% administrative fee
  • 24-48 hours before service: 50% refund
  • Less than 24 hours: No refund unless due to circumstances beyond client's control
  • Weather delays: Services rescheduled at no additional charge
  • Emergency cancellations: Evaluated case-by-case

Liability and Insurance

Our Insurance

Ardor House carries comprehensive general liability insurance and is bonded. We maintain insurance coverage for our furniture and inventory.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the direct cost of services provided. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost sales, or property damage not directly caused by our negligence.

Property Damage

While we take utmost care, you agree to hold us harmless for normal wear and tear or minor scuffs that may occur during installation. Significant damage will be reported immediately and handled through our insurance.

Furniture Rental Terms

Care and Maintenance

  • Client is responsible for reasonable care of rented items
  • Normal wear and tear is acceptable
  • Excessive damage, stains, or odors subject to repair/replacement fees
  • Professional cleaning required only for significant soiling

Return Conditions

  • Items must be returned in same condition as delivered
  • All items must be present at pickup (no missing pieces)
  • Property must be accessible for pickup crew
  • Client must be available or provide access during pickup window

Intellectual Property

All design concepts, plans, and creative work remain the intellectual property of Ardor House. Clients may not reproduce or use our designs for other properties without written permission. Photography of our work may be used for our marketing purposes unless specifically prohibited in writing.

Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, weather emergencies, labor disputes, government actions, or other unforeseeable events.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall first be addressed through good faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be settled through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Modifications

These Terms may be modified only by written agreement signed by both parties. We reserve the right to update these Terms for future clients, with changes effective upon posting to our website.
